弁理士になるための要件
シンガポールの弁理士関連情報は特許庁の下記リンクに大体出ている。
シンガポールに来て3年経って、やっぱりこの資格を持っていた方がいいかなという心境になってきたけれども、そもそもこの資格って外国人に開かれているんだろうかと思い、ちょっと読んでみた。
- is resident in Singapore;
- holds a university degree or equivalent qualification approved by the Registrar;
- has passed the course specified in Part I of the Third Schedule;
- has passed the examination specified in Part II of the Third Schedule; and
- has completed internship in patent agency work under the supervision of a registered patent agent, or an individual registered as a patent agent or its equivalent in a country or territory, or by a patent office, specified in the Fourth Schedule, for - (i) a continuous period of at least 12 months; or
(ii) a total period of at least 12 months within a continuous period of 24 months
a. Residentでいいらしい。そんなわけでガイジンでもなれるようだ。
b. 大学はちゃんと卒業した
c. これは去年修了した
d. これはまだ
e. ボスと喧嘩しなければサインしてくれそう
というわけで、examinationに合格すればなれるようだ。今日見たらそのexaminationの募集要項が出ていた。
4科目（A:明細書作成、B:補正書作成、C:侵害判定、D:法律）あって一つずつ受けてもいいし、全部受けてもいい。今年は10月1日から4日まで。一科目400ドル。AとCは仕事で全然やってないので、とりあえずBのみかなあと考えている。
今年から貸与されたノートPCを使って書面を作成するとのこと。受験生全員にノートPC貸与というとなにやら凄く聞こえるが、昨年の受験生は13人。その前は14人。このくらいの人数なら全然問題なさそうだな。ちなみに合格者は、一科目だけ受けた人で1人、二科目受けた人で1人。
申し込み期限が8月31日なので、とっとと申し込んでしまおう。
